A very sweet and unusual notebook wrap/cover made using recycled vintage linens and cottons. It is made to have the appearance of having been loved and cherished for many years and the type of treasured item that might have been passed through the generations. The naive stitching and repaired and discoloured look is intentional to give this impression. The linens and textiles have been tea dyed to give them more of an aged grungy look, this wrap has been dyed using blackcurrant and blueberry tea and has a slight pleasant fragrance. There are intentionally raw edges and frayed textiles to enhance the worn look.
The front of the wrap is embellished with printed tree with a scattering of blossom and collaged using vintage lace, tulle, muslin and a mother of pearl button.
Inside there is a small notepad and pencils, a few labels and other decorative vintage ephemera such as a playing card and postage stamps. There's plenty of room to add your own favourite items and treasures. It ties together with a sari silk ribbon and a vintage shell buckle. It would look beautiful on a dressing table and is the nice size to carry with you for notes on the go.
It measures approx 23cm (to the longest piece of lace) by 10.5cm closed and 26cm by 34cm open.
It would make a beautiful and unusual gift for a friend or relative or lover of vintage textiles and handmade work.

*shipping/postage fees....I am trying to perfect this part of the process to offer you the best deal but to also cover the cost of the order should items go astray in the postal system. Due to a substantial increase in shipping fees particularly to the United States as USPS have increased their prices I have unfortunately had to increase shipping fees as am unable to absorb these costs. Please don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions about this before buying, thank you.
