A hand sewn textile cuff bracelet made using vintage textiles
A pretty one of a kind textile cuff bracelet, made using vintage textiles and tea dyed vintage lace to give it an aged appearance - as though it has been loved and cherished for many years.
Sewn on a base of vintage fabric, scraps and slivers of vintage lace and textiles have been stitched on to create a textile collage. This is embellished with freshwater pearls, tiny seed beads, vintage lace, embroidered starfish and flowers and fragments of real Cornish sea shells. It is fastened onto the wrist by a little elastic loop and a vintage mother of pearl button. Almost all the items used are recycled and have perhaps seen life elsewhere and have a story to tell.
The stitching is purposefully naive and visible, frayed edges and threads all add to its charm.
As expected with old and possibly fragile textiles it is not meant for hard wear and tear and better suited for wearing to high tea, a jolly day out or other special occasions. It is not washable so should not be hand or machine washed or worn whilst swimming or showering etc.
It is soft, lightweight and comfortable to wear.
A beautiful conversation piece and a lovely gift for a female friend or relative or an alternative bridal or bridesmaids bracelet.
It measures approx 18.7cm in length by 4.5cm wide not including the elastic loop.

*shipping/postage fees....I am trying to perfect this part of the process to offer you the best deal but to also cover the cost of the order should items go astray in the postal system. Due to a substantial increase in shipping fees particularly to the United States as USPS have increased their prices I have unfortunately had to increase shipping fees as am unable to absorb these costs. Please don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions about this before buying, thank you
