Small Embellished Toadstool 4

A single small embellished textile toadstool.

Made using a collaged patchwork of vintage and antique textiles all hand sewn onto it's richly embellished cap. Sari silk roses, lace, embroidered french knots, mixed natural silk and banana yarn fibres and tiny sparkly beads all sit side by side. The fabrics have been hand and tea dyed to give a further aged appearance and the calico stalk, also tea dyed, is decorated with a silky hand tinted ribbon and a small vintage cabinet key. It features the words 'in the deep dark wood'.

It is approximately 12cm tall by 8cm across the cap and has a weighted base to help it stand.  Sometimes the base needs a gentle squidge to encourage it to stand properly as they can be a bit tempremental.
