Medium Embellished Toadstool 4

A single medium embellished textile toadstool.

Made using a collaged patchwork of vintage and antique textiles all hand sewn onto it's richly embellished cap. A sari silk rose, lace, embroidered flowers and tiny sparkly beads all sit side by sidealong with a small vintage abalone button. The fabrics have been hand and tea dyed to give a further aged appearance and the calico stalk, also tea dyed, is decorated with a silky hand tinted ribbon and a small vintage cabinet key. It features the words 'and round and round upon the ground danced fays and elfin men'.

It is approximately 14.5cm tall by 8.5cm across the cap and has a weighted base to help it stand.  Sometimes the base needs a gentle squidge to encourage it to stand properly as they can be a bit tempremental.
