Embellished Toadstool Trio 5

A trio of embellished textile toadstools.

Made using a collaged patchwork of vintage and antique textiles all hand sewn onto their richly embellished caps. Sari silk roses, lace, embroidered flowers, vintage mother of pearl buttons and tiny sparkly beads all sit side by side. The fabrics have been hand dyed and tea dyed to give a further aged appearance and the calico stalks are also tea dyed. The stalk of the largest toadstool is decorated with a silky hand tinted ribbon and a small vintage cabinet key. It features the words 'believe in fairytales'.

The largest toadstool is approximately 14cm tall by 7.5cm across the cap, the medium one approx 11cm by 5.5cm and the smallest approx 9cm by 5cm.   They have weighted bases to help them stand.  Sometimes the base needs a gentle squidge to encourage it to stand properly as they can be a bit tempremental.
