Spindly Toadstool Trio - Lace 17

Tall and thin as if drawn up by searching for the light whilst growing on the forest floor these lace embellished toadstools will bring a bit of magic and fairytale to your home.

They are created from a vintage cotton sheet, vintage and antique lace and hand stitched and tea dyed to give a whimsical, slightly curious and mysterious feel.  A little hand embroidered tag is tied around their stalks with a ribbon of tea dyed gingham.  The caps have touches of red here and there.

They can be untied and I think they look lovely in an old jug or vase or even as a little bunch in a small wicker basket....as if you'd been foraging for such treasures in the woods.  As an addition to a woodland display or a fairytale corner or shelf I hope they will transport your mind to a magical world where wierd and wonderful things grow and the faery folk live.

The longest toadstool measures approx 22cm, they are tactile and have wire in the stalks so you may position them to your liking.
