This pretty textile wrap has been created using vintage and antique textiles together with other reclaimed textiles and lace.
This one has been gently dip dyed to give it a soft green colour and retains some of the natural colour of the main textile. There are marks and imperfections which come about during the dying and drying process and add to any other imperfections on these old textiles....all of which tell their story and history. There may be raw edges and loose threads....the intention is for it to look tattered and timeworn.
Inside there are a number of pockets and two sets of tiny pages. These contain pieces of vintage ephemera such as postage stamps, pieces of old books and cigarette cards along with a number of hand decorated tags. There is room to add some of your own sentimental bit and pieces....small photographs or cinema tickets for instance.
The front cover is richly layered and decorated with a stamped image and tiny glass beads ....the wrap ties closed with a reclaimed sari silk ribbon.
It makes a beautiful, unusual one of a kind gift or heirloom....or something to treasure and to keep treasures in.
This one measures approximately 15.5cm by 9cm when closed....not including the dangly bits.
It would make a beautiful and unusual gift for a friend or relative or lover of vintage textiles and handmade work.

All orders are sent 1st class/tracked/special delivery depending on order value.
*shipping/postage fees....I am trying to perfect this part of the process to offer you the best deal but to also cover the cost of the order should items go astray in the postal system. Due to a substantial increase in shipping fees particularly to the United States as USPS have increased their prices I have unfortunately had to increase shipping fees as am unable to absorb these costs. Please don't hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions about this before buying, thank you.
