Textile Notebook Wrap E

A very sweet and unusual notebook wrap/cover made using recycled vintage linens and cottons. It is made to have the appearance of having been loved and cherished for many years and the type of treasured item that might have been passed through the generations. The naive stitching and repaired and discoloured look is intentional to give this impression. Some of the linens and textiles have been tea dyed to give them more of an aged grungy look, this wrap has been dyed a soft green and pink dip dye. There are intentionally raw edges and frayed textiles to enhance the worn look.

The front of the wrap is embellished with printed seedhead and embellished with antique lace.  It has a small ceramic charm with a tiny bird on it pinned to the front.

Inside there is a small notepad and pencils and other decorative vintage ephemera such as a playing cards and postage stamps. There's plenty of room to add your own favourite items and treasures. It ties together with a sari silk ribbon. It would look beautiful on a dressing table and is the nice size to carry with you for notes on the go.

It measures approx 25cm (to the longest piece of lace) by 11.5cm closed and 25cm by 34cm open.

It would make a beautiful and unusual gift for a friend or relative or lover of vintage textiles and handmade work.
