Small Vintage Tin Pincushion D

This small pincushion is perfect for projects on the go or just for a sweet decoration.

Influenced by my love of my allotment and growing things it is made from a piece of tea dyed calico and a small old patisserie tin.  It is stuffed with 100% pure british sheep wool and features a small hand dyed velvet toadstool.

The little tin itself is highly patinated, it shows the signs of its age and these tell the story of it's useful past life....it may have a dint or two.  I think this is important and have intentionally left it in this condition rather than polishing it.  I imagine all the tasty treats that were once baked in it and the pleasure they must have brought.  It would once have been a valuble and cherished item in the kitchen.

The pincushion is approx 6.5cm in diameter by 5.5cm deep (inc toadstool).
