Velvet toadstool on vintage cotton spool - B

A curious and enchanting looking hand dyed deep mushroom coloured cotton velvet toadstool sat on top of a vintage wooden Chadwicks machine embroidery thread spool.  It bulbous cotton stalk and gathered gills are made from vintage cotton, tea dyed to give it an aged appearance.  The colour of the velvet is a little deeper than the images show.....more of a chestnut mushroom colour.

A lovely decorative gift for a toadstool/mushroom enthusiast or a lover of everything fairytale and magical.

It measures approx 17.5cm high and the toadstool cap is approx 10cm wide.
