Toadstool Art Box 6

A upcycled vintage jewellery box is the perfect home for this little brown velvet toadstool.  The cap is hand dyed, the stalk is made from tea dyed vintage textile.   

The box is lined with fragments of wording from an antique deed and there's a sprinkling of mandmade copper leaves.  The toadstool sits on top of a piece of mossy textile art. The box does close fully but is designed to sit open on a shelf or curio cabinet.  A little piece of whimsy and magic.

It is approximately 7.5cm tall by 15cm fully open.

The box is a vintage item and therefore shows signs of its age and history.  There is a bit of wear and tear here and there, I try to leave things in their found condition as I feel it tells a story about their previous lives and adds to the charm.
