Fly Agaric Toadstool in Box - fays & elfin men.

A upcycled vintage jewellery box is the perfect home for these little velvet Fly Agaric toadstools.  The caps are hand dyed, the stalks are made from tea dyed vintage textile.   

The box is lined with fragments of wording from an antique deed and there's a small piece of mossy textile art.  The box does not close fully but is designed to sit open on a shelf or curio cabinet.  A little piece of whimsy and magic.

The box is a vintage item and therefore shows signs of its age and history.  There is a bit of wear and tear here and there, I try to leave things in their found condition as I feel it tells a story about their previous lives and adds to the charm.
